Anyone installed a 14 or newer tour pack on a 09 Ultra Classic? I like the shape of newer box.

 

I did, but on a 13 streetglide. I got a aftermarket tourpack and a HD TP and Harley Oem quality is way better so I returned the aftermarket one back.

 

I haven't taken one off yet but we had a guy in the other day getting a shield for his '09 that had done just what you are proposing... He didn't say it was hard or required extra mounting holes or hardware ... Maybe someone else has some experience. I can call my buddy tomorrow and ask him if I get a chance.

You are right though they look good/ better than the older ones.

A quick google search revealed that the holes are different in the tour pack but there are plenty of aftermarket mounting hardware that have holes for old and new touring pack boxes.

 

They say the 2014 bracket will fit on the 2013 mount without issue. Just undo the quick releases and put it on the 2013.

 

I know after talking with Legends on their sliding tour pack they said the old and the new are totally different and this is why they would have to retool.

 

The '09-'13 docking is the same.
