The main difference is that on the Road Glide the fairing is mounted to the frame and on the Street Glide the fairing is mounted to the front forks. Therefore, when you turn the handlebars on the Road Glide, the fairing doesn't move but on the Street Glide the fairing moves left and right with the handlebars. Others will chime in with much more detailed analysis.

Big difference is the overall look. Both have the same frame, but the ride to me is a little different. The post that was pasted above is a good one to read. I swore 2 years ago when Iwas ready fora new Harley the last thing I would get was a RoadGlide. Now I can't believe I didn't buy it sooner. The handling is OUTSTANDING! I think the fixed fairing throws some people off. It did with me at first.
