my idle when bike gets v warmed up idls about 250 rpms higher than when cold

Assuming your bike is fuel injected, the idle should be about 1,200 - 1,400 RPM when cold. When hot, it should be 1,000.

I think what he is asking is shouldn't it drop when warm not go up in rpm. But more info would help. FI or carbed?
