Does anyone know why I was able to just purchase a new sundowner seat made in 2017 for my 2012 streetglide and it is made with the original (wider) shell?

I know not helpful. I would call the parts dept and ask them that ? maybe they will have an answer.

I'm confused, are you expressing pleasant surprise or outraged horror that Harley still makes new parts and accessories for your 2012 bike?
