Default Cobra slip on mufflers

Well I've madethedecision! Just ordered a set of Cobra mufflers for my Ultra. I posted prior about the fact that I installed V&H dresser duals and now my SE II's are way to loud especially at highway speeds. I liked the idle, real loud when accelerating and unbearable at 3,000 rpm's. Sounded like a 75 Chevy with no mufflers.
Listened to several different mufflers and decided to go with these. They have a sound bite on their web site. They also have a lifetime warranty. I'll let you know what I think after they are on. Should have them next Tuesday.

Keep us posted, I'm looking at the same mufflers with slash up. Let us know how the sound is compared to the other mufflers you've used.

Had a buddy put on COBRA'a on his Ultra because he want it "LOUD" - took off his V & H's and he got his wish... THEY'RE LOUD! Think he paid less then $400.00 for the set (?)

Hey Pappy,
The Cobras are louder than the V&H's. I thought they were quieter, maybe I'll have to keep looking. I have the Thunderheader slip on's now and had the SE touring on before. The SE's were too quiet and the Thunderheaders are too loud. I'd Rate the SE's a 2-3 and the Thunderheader a8-9, I want something in between these two sets of mufflers. Anyone have any ideas?

Is there alot of difference in loudness between the 1.75" and 2.00" baffles?
