Default Non-HD battery

I'd be making sure that the person who told me that a non Harley battery in my bike caused electrical problems was aware the battery was the correct physical size, correct terminal placement, correct amp-hour rating, etc. and that I am going to complain to his boss about his bullshit. Sorry, but I do NOT suffer fools and liars gladly. The salesperson I dealt with buying my '08 FLHT told me that the noise I hear after turning on the ignition was the engine pumping oil to the top end prior to starting. Even said it with a straight face. Actually, it's the fuel pump, but whatever. I didn't bother to tell that fool that I grew up around these things, and rode my first Harley at 13. And have worked on many others. Thought about asking how that happened with the engine not running, but decided to just ignore any "technical" information coming from them. Makes ya wonder why that person still employed there.

I would have reminded the service advisor that Deka, a division of East-Penn, make the batteries for HD. Just like a different oil company makes their precious SYN3 or Formula+. Probably the same for the coolant in the wet heads.

I think the OP accomplished exactly what he was after.

One and only post, and then sit back and watch.
