Two dressers 7x16 enclosed trailer - Distance apart?

The bigger issue is tongue weight when loaded. Too light, squirrely rear end; too heavy, squirrely front end. That being said, I use my 18' "v" nose snowmobile trailer and tow a Ultra, Breakout, and Triglide together. The front of the Triglide fits between the rear of the other two with the rears strapped to recessed "D" rings as close to the walls as possible.

I'll go slightly different in my answer, and say you can pack them within an inch of each other, IF, they are affixed securely. A bike that can wiggle and bounce is darn likely to find a way to move and rub. In which case it needs lots of room. But with enough straps and anchors and such, it can ride close to things without any contact.
Just a shot of loading mine in for the return trip. Two more bikes went in there to keep it company. A KLR and a DR650. It was tight, but everything was secure. Nothing rubbed, nothing damaged. Not on the trip out, or the trip back.

I am surprised no uses the Biker Bar setup for trailing their bikes. It works very well and they are secured very well.
My brother has 4 of them in his trailer and has been all over the country with this setup. Takes his and his employees bikes with them while working around the country.
Work and play as he calls it.

This is what I did with out 16' V-nose trailer. Won't work without staggering bikes in a 14' or non-V-nose trailer. This is why I bought a 16' trailer. The trike has a (old style Harbor Freight) chock and then car tire straps that go over the wheels and connect to the eTrac under the wheels. There are 4 bolts holding the rear chock (old style Harbor Freight) in place - I remove the chock to load / unload the trike. Then my bike rolls in and is tied down to the eTrac at the edge of the floor. The trike is at the front because it's somewhat heavier. I upgraded the tires to LRD - destroyed a set of LRC in 7500km.
