Frequency of oil changes....NOT ABOUT THE OIL

What the manual recommends on my model. 5k,10k, and 20K... ish. If one surpasses it on a road trip or if I'm busy I don't worry about it. I change it when I get around to it. And I ride some in the winter so I don't worry about the "pre-winter storage" change some people do.
It's just not as big a deal to me.

And on my cars/trucks that have maintaince reminders, I do it when it tells me to.
And I have never had a failure from oil/lubrication issues either.

Ya I like to do only one of them at a time. I start the bike for each different. The motor start for a second two times with a short brake in between which pulls a extra 1/2 guart from sump, got tired of it being dark right after a change. The primary I pull in the clutch and rev a couple times. I could do primary first and do at same time. But really like to mess with my bike alot and this is just where I feel they start to get dirty. Running amsoil in the primary so it goes a bit longer. We all know they will go longer but I have but 40,000 miles on this bike that has 110,000 on stock clutch & it hasn't needed ajusted the whole time I've had it. Tried many things in motor and primary and have found what I like. M1 15-50 motor & amsoil primary with 25% amsoil ATF. It's just a cool running 88 with two cooling mods & clean oil.
