Wide open throttle in top gear anyone????
Quick question for you guys/gals. I have an 05 EG Classic with 1 3/4 rush slip ons, S/Eagle Air Clnr and Power Cmndr. I installed it all about 3 weeks ago and all seems really good. Yesterday I was in 5th gear (and I think I was going uphill if I remember correctly) anyway I rolledopened the throttle all the way and the I could hear the bike sucking air like an old GTOthrough the A/clner but it didn't reallygo anywhere. It just held like 55-60 mph. I didn't notice the rpm's. Is this normal or should I screw with the fuel setting making it richer in the PC3 program or just leave it. I don't know that its a problem but I just thought I'D ask you guys if this is what happens on your bike or maybe if you want to try it while your out riding and see. I'd bet if I downshifted to match the rpms better to the load it likelywould have revved and ripped.Stay safe.

RE: Wide open throttle in top gear anyone????
Did you tune your PCIII yourself, or did you have a dyno tune done? Sounds, to me, like you have a flat spot in your PCIII mapping at full throttle. I would suggest review your dyno sheet (if you did one) and see where the HP and TQ curves are at 2500-2800 RPM.
I agree with the other folks, that it's not normal to be sucking air at full throttle.
