According to the HD website the CVO Street Glide, both the 2017 & 2018, have dual exhaust but the Street Glide Special has a 2-1-2 exhaust.

I was lead to believe that the 2-1-2 set up offers better performance than a true dual set up.

Am I wrong? Seems odd that HD would not give the CVO the best performing exhaust they have.

They both have the same headers-2/1/2. The only difference between the two is the CVO has Screamin Eagle slipons.

 

I think SBates is correct. You might be confused by the
'Black, 2-1-2 dual exhaust with tapered mufflers' for the Special vs 'Dual, with crossover' for the CVO.

I don't think the MoCo uses a different header for the CVO, although with the pricing you would thing that.

 

the cvo has the 2-1-2. here's the parts fiche pic to verify that.

the part number is 65600176, and if you do a search for that, you'll see that it is available on all the 2017 and 2018 touring bikes. (and msrp is $806.00 )
