Tarkus60, no I have already been running a Power Commander 5 for two years now. Had I known about other perhaps I would have gone that way but the mechanic at the HD dealership where I dealt told me they were good and he was and is a good wrench so I went with his advice. I really think its over kill what all these things do but I understand there is a lot you can tweak if you have the need and time but all I want is the best AFR I can get without going to a dyno. Closest one to me is 100 miles away in Michigan and I'm in Ontario Canada.

I'm running a PCV and Auto Tune on my 02. I got my buddy's 07 head pipes in order to run the O2 sensors. I love the setup. I can tweak and play with the setting to dial things in as I want. I have just discovered the POD 300 and am trying to figure out if that will open up the options I have to look at use to tune. I don't think you could go wrong with the Auto Tune; especially if you like to tinker like I do.

I have a PCV, get decent mileage and performance and have forgotten how much better the bike runs with the PCV than without. More response, power and fun factor. With that said, I will be curious to see if the $$$$ for an autotune is really worth it. I emailed Fuel Moto about this and they essentially told me my cams' performance needed some extra fuel and that I really didn't need the autotune.....
I would love to test ride one and see if there is any seat of the pants results from the autotune.... but of course I'd have to spend $365 for the test ride.....

They can make a big difference in day to day riding.
Ok so I took the plunge and ordered an At-100 Auto-tuner for the PC5. I have an 03 Road King Classic. I have been mulling this over and over and talking to people on here and elsewhere for advice. My skoot runs pretty good now but I thought after putting in 510 cams I would feel a noticeable difference. I feel just a little, very little and dyno tunes are out of the question from where I live let alone this is a touring bike, not a hot rod. I've seen them do the dynos and it cant be all that good for the bike if they have to do multiple runs. So I guess I will see if the money I'm paying is worth it. $625 Canadian. Ya I know. It should be here in a week. I was considering trading my bike on a CVO of the same year but a lot of people said to keep what I have as I know what I have into it. I'll let everyone know how it works out.

The autotune is installed. Really wasn't difficult other than trying to push the little wires into the tuner and tighten them down with a micro flat screw driver. Then it took a few rolls to start but other than that it did. I have no idea what all to do but to drive it. I went for a short ride about 10 miles. Not long enough to do much of anything but ill have to wait and see. If anyone has experience with these, what do I do now? DYNAJET sent me a map to use as a base. Do I save the new trims or what? their instructions don't say a whole lot.

I assume you have the auto tune enabled. You will need to make sure that you have AFR's set in the AFR tabel. Take some rides and then check the trim tables. You should see cells populated with adjustments that the auto tune was making. You accept the trim adjustments, send the updated map and then clear the trim tables. After a few rides the trim adjustments should get smaller. If you are happy with how things are running you can either shut auto tune off or leave it running. It can make small adjustments for temp, altitude etc... (I leave mine running). It is important that the AFR tables are appropriate and reasonable. You can ask around and see if anyone is running a similar setup with a PCV and ask for their AFR tables, use canned AFR tables from DynoJet, Fuel Moto etc... or tweak what you have if you have enough understanding of what is correct. All that being said, nothing replaces a good dyno tune of your motor, with your tuner. Every motor is going to have different needs. Have fun.
