Thanks Griff. You have a good point but it's so frustrating to keep seeing this fake news keep coming up. I really can't figure out the motives of the haters. Perhaps I did go over the top, but watch this space and I'll surely be accused of something no matter what I say.

I'm 78 years old and way past being bothered by slurs. However, the thing that got me going was the post from a fellow serviceman. I served over 50 years ago. I never mention it and I certainly don't use it as a manipulation to make sales. It was my duty and privilege, I served my time, and as I see it, it's a private matter. All I did was mentioned that I served and got that inappropriate response.

At this time in my life I am serving the Harley community and serving it well with excellent helpful products. I know that Love Jugs transforms the ride of all who have them. Outside of this Forum there is widespread agreement of our product's incredible benefits. Dave R & D-ed our original product for 4-1/2 years to perfect it. People tearing down our company with fake news prevents others from enjoying the benefits of Love Jugs.

So what I was trying to say was it's their choice to not buy our products but they not only hurt themselves, they hurt their brothers and sisters who and wrongly influenced by their damaging made up theories.

Well said sir. Thank you for your service as well. I will look into your products myself and see how they might help me and my bikes.

So Love Jugs and Wards Fans look alike, I've got bulbs on my bike that look alike also, who gives a chit? I use Mighty Mites on my bike and am extremely satisfied, End of story

You can turn the tab around, paint over it, or throw it away and use spacers.

Default The truth is out there?

I've never owned a Love Jugs product, and I am not about to get involved in the war of words between the Wards camp and the LJ camp... But I can, from first hand experience, tell you that in 2013 I put a set of Wards on a '06 CVO Ultra, and they worked flawlessly though my selling the bike in late 2016. That bike ran horrendously hot until I put those fans on, but once I did, problem solved. I also have a friend with a 2012 CVO who also put a set of Wards on in '13 - he has the bike to this day, the fans do their job perfectly, and there has never been an ounce of trouble with them. I hav no doubt that Love Jugs' fans work just as well, otherwise the forums would be full of negative reviews. I mention this only because the bashing between both camps is like listening to fans of Ford and Chevy trash the other... or more appropriately, Harley and Indian... and it gets old listening to it.

I'm just curious as to what happened to Wards. They made a good product, and were in a healthy competition with Love Jugs (on-line posturing and harsh words by both companies non-withstanding). I've read a lot of speculation, theories, etc. as to what went down, but nothing definitive. However - being as Love Jugs' Mighty Mights are a virtual clone of Ward's fans, I think the speculation that Wards lost a patent fight rings true - and he gave the design to Love Jugs as part of a settlement. Why else and how else would Love Jugs be selling them, after knocking them so hard for so many years? And a confidentiality clause is often a part of settling a law suit - which could explain not only the radio silence and ultimate disappearance of Wards, but the lack of definitive comment from Love Jugs.

I'm also curious that if there was indeed a patent fight, what were the details. I get protecting your own idea with a patent, but one item I read implied the problem centered around Wards putting one fan on each cylinder, same as Love Jugs. That seems a little hard to fathom, as it seems to be a very generic concept - putting fans on engines is not a new idea, using a thermostat to control them is not a new idea, and putting a small fan to blow on each cylinder is a simple, logical application of exiting technology and concepts... there are tons of stories of patent applications being turned down for reasons just like this. (It'd be like trying to claim a copyright on the 1-4-5 chord progression in music) But, the patent office is paid to figure this stuff out, and if they granted one in this case, there has to be a demonstrable reason for it.... which the circumstantial evidence says there must have been. I'm not an engineer, so I'm not going to dig into patent records to try to figure it out.

At any rate, it just would be nice to know the truth. If there actually is a confidentiality agreement, though, that's not going to happen. Too bad. Love Jugs makes good stuff, but so did Wards. For those of us who had good experiences with Wards' products and would like to buy more, it'd be nice to know why he disappeared and how LJ is selling their Mighty Might design, which appears to be a direct copy of Wards' design.

Internet forums. Always filled with misinformation speculation and Hysteria.
The fact of the matter is customers of Love Jugs have a solid company standing behind their product where Wards fans have disappeared off the planet and those people do not have any recourse at this time for product or parts.
So the fact is Love Jugs is the more reliable company.
Why as a consumer would you choose anything else or feed into all the speculation and fake news?

I don't have either product mentioned in this thread. I currently have a Lenale single fan but if I went to a dual fan it would definitely be Love Jugs as they are the most reliable company to give my hard-earned money. That is simply fact.

'Wards' was simply Jason, as I understand, who as a hobby created his fans, made and sold them for a while, before his full-time work got in the way. He did explain to us somewhere on HDF why he was giving up and wouldn't be able to provide ongoing support.

Just curious, how much did the Wards fans cost when they were available? The equivalent mighty mites seem really expensive, $329 for two fans and some aluminum
