Default 2010 Road Glide Value

I have a 2010 Road Glide that was built by a HD tech. 18k miles. Thinking about selling to start over with a new model. Assuming trade-in wouldn't be worth it, just trying to get some opinions on private party value since it's more custom than stock (completely realizing I won't get my money back on a lot of the upgrades, of course). Any thoughts on an asking price out here in CA? Here are a few bike specs and pics:

- 2010 Road Glide Custom FLTRX, Black Denim w/ factory cruise control
- 103” Screamin Eagle (SE) Stage 4 motor
- 10.5:1 SE Pistons
- SE Heads
- SE Super Tuner Pro Controller
- SE 58mm Throttle Body w/ large Injectors
- SE Heavy Breather Intake
- Woods TW-888 Cams w/ Woods Lifters
- Vance&Hines HO 2-1 Pro Pipe w/ Race Baffle
- EVO Slipper Clutch w/ EVO Hydraulic Master & Slave Cylinders (cable delete)
- Baker High volume Oil Pan (add 1 qt).
- Buell Oil Cooler w/ Thermostat, thermostat opens at 180-deg.
- All black parts (engine cases, fork lowers, levers, mirrors….) are OEM factory Harley parts, nothing is painted or coated
- Galfer Wave Brake Rotors
- 13.5” Richor Custom Shocks
- Forks re-sprung and re-valved
- Harley Daymaker LED Headlight
- All Marker/Tail Lights Converted to LED
- CVO Leather Seats w/ Quick Release Sissy Bar
- Custom Rear Fender (all metal, not plastic inserts like on CVO’s)
- Dakota Digital Gauges
- Freedom Shields Windscreen
- Aquatic AV Waterproof Blue Tooth Receiver, Hog Tunes Speakers w/ 200w Amp, w/ factory handlebar controls
- Dyno Tuned at RC Cycle in Hayward, 119hp/120tq

Your Road Glide looks awesome IMO and if I had invested all of what you have into the bike I would never let it go. That is exactly why I still have my 01 Road King, too much invested. If you ride as much as I do you soon learn that having more than one bike is the way to go. I don't blame you for wanting a new bike but I would think you are crazy to let go of the investment that you have as you already know you will never get half of what you have into it. For the last few years I have had 2 HD touring bikes at the same time. I bet there are not many people that have 2 of the same model at the same time, like 2 Road Glides. Be different!!! I won't insult you with what I think your bike is worth but if you really feel the need to get rid of it I don't know that a private sale will net you much more than what a dealership may give you on a trade.

...... if you've got the garage space, i'd keep it !
... go out & get a new M8RGU for taking the OL along on those 1000 mile wknd road trips & keep the hot rod under cover for when ya feel the need for blinding speed.
........... that's what i'd do ..... but then, i've always had a hard time letting go of paid for toys

Op,

im in the same boat as you. sound advice,

keep it.

its worth, 6 to 8 k. trade in, maybe 10 to 11 private party.

i have 3 roadglides. i ride em until they have 100k or so miles then sell em, buy another garage queen cheap and start over

you have too much invested in your bike. if you have the original parts, swap em out, sell the upgrades and change the bike out, but the time and effort if you can afford is better focused to finding a low mileage garage queen still under warrenty to purchase

That rear fender alone... badass. I'd keep it.

Harley making a lot of changes to the models , makes other bikes not worth trading in. That's why Volkswagens held their value for so many years , very little changes.

Thats nice

I would say 10-12K If you REALLY want to sell it. Dont think you can hold out for 15K cash. I would personally buy new then to pay anything over 10K for a bike. No one has cash that would be willingly give to you anyways. Unless you find your local drug dealer or gangbanger down the corner.

I definitely may have to reconsider and keep the Dark Knight.

It's a gorgeous bike, no doubt. Did you build this or did the HD tech build it and you bought it from him?
