Default Blown fuse on cruise /brakelight circuit

Just went on the Hell's Canyon ralley and experianced two blown fuses on the Brake/Cruise circuit. The last one I replaced I did not use the Cruise and the fuse did not blow.when I got home I turned the switch on for the cruise(06 Ultra) and it is ok so far, I haven't tried using it yet but I'm curious if any one else has had this problem...Hate to take it in and wait for 6 weeks while they work on it.
Thanks

I had this problem on my Street Glide. It is wires chaffing on the support bracked under the radio inside the faring. The wires would short when I turned the handlebars in just the right position. Could go for weeks or months and then pop the fuse blows and the tail light is gone. You will drive yourself crazy trying to trace the problem from the tail light. Do yourself a favor and check thewires inside the faring.

Check the wiring under your rear fender where it goes through from under the seat area for abrasions from the tire. There have been some that had these problems that you mention.

I have a "04" RK Classic. I keep blowing the cruise/brake fuse, but it doesn't happen every time I ride. I can ride for 2 days and then come out and it is blown. Brake light stays on bright,as if the brake is applied. Turn signals stillwork. Where to start to look? wire harness under fender? Bad Bulb?
