Record for the dealer

I follow the maintenance schedule for each bike I own..... as soon as I would see/hear a problem, I fix it.... I have upgraded every bike I've owned also, whether a Stage I or Stage IV.... if done right, and taken care of, I've had very good service from my Harleys of all years/engines.....
As 2AMGuy mentioned, I don't ride'em like I stole'em either.... but when I was younger, and now on occasion, I would qualify as a "spirited rider"...

Just traded in my '05 FLHT with just a tad over 92,000 miles. Religiously maintained it myself following the service schedule (service manual is the first item I buy from the P&A counter for each bike I've owned). Owner of my dealership rode it before quoting trade in value due to the miles, also had a tech go over it in the service bay. Gave me a great deal (above book value).
Took my new 2017 FLHTCU in for 1st service (yeah, letting them do this one) 4 days later and dealer told me that they sold both bikes I traded in ('05 FLHT and '08 XL883) that day. Funny thing is, I still see used bikes on the floor with far less miles that've been sitting there for close to a year now.
The TC was a really great engine. I'm sure mine would've seen 150k before any overhaul would've been necessary. I would've kept it, but it was the little things that got tiresome for me (and the wife). Things like laying on the side of the interstate in Chicago using hose clamps to reattach the shift linkage get old after a while.
