I believe those who have "B" lifters made in Mexico from 2011 on (not not sure when Harley went quality) are the ones changing lifters around 25,000 or in my case 13,500 miles as I chose to perform a stage II and be done with it. Oh, I went with S&S Premiums.

Personally do not see any reason for changing quality roller lifters, even when your changing cams unless you have 100,000 miles on them.

Years back when majority engines had flat lifters, absolutely when changing cams buuuuut other than that buy something really cool for you scoot, or save your money IMHO.

I'm sorry, need to address disposable items lol. Wearable disposable items are tires, brakes, rotors, spark plugs. Not engines or their internal parts even though they wear in retrospect. If you look at everything as wearable believe that doesn't fit the correct terminology.

It seems Harley may use this term loosely as they have a revised or double standard changing or adding maintenance alleviating responsibilities due to inferior product recalls (let the consumer be responsible) that leads me to disposable lifters, if this is valid, then so be it. But why as millions to billions of engines including Harley in the past have never made such an accusation.

Are we programmed to deny what we know and comply to manipulation just because Harley's quality controls is less than adequate in some parts. I mean it's in the new service manual, so it must be right! So just do it!

We don't want to challenge the standard, what a ridiculous non-challenging world we currently live in IMHO. We are headed in the wrong direction.

My two cents...
