Advice about the rubber flap on the belt guard
Tonight, when cleaning the Road King, I noticed that the rubber flap on the belt guard had tore and rubbed the tire. It must have happened in the past few miles since thewhitewall was only a bit marked up. For now, I cut awaywhat was left of the loose part of the rubber flap...
What's your advice on what I should do next?
A: Replace the belt guard rubber flap immediately - it's a valuable feature that H-D spent years engineering for your safety!
B: Replace it when you get the chance - there's a slight risk of picking up a stray pebble in the belt
C: Leave it as is - thatpiece of rubber doesn't do enough good to worry about
D: Cut off all that evil rubber! - that's where the road gremlins hide!
E: When did they start puttin' belts on motersickles?

RE: Advice about the rubber flap on the belt guard
While on our last M\C Vacation to two rallies in Colorado on the King... Noticed excessive black on the left rear white wall... Spent 10 min removing the belt guard - ripped the crappie rubber shield off the guard and still haven't or am I going to replace it...
