Question 04 Road King Classic, ABS?

Spoke to my brother on the phone y'day. He lives elsewhere in Canada and rides a police FLH for his work.
He told me my new-to-me bike has ABS. What-the?

I haven't been on it much, (just got it, got my license after being away from riding some 30+ yrs) but judging from the little riding I've done on it, I don't think it does.

I'll be honest and say I have not scoured the huge user manual which reminds me of an encyclopedia more than a user manual.

2004 FLHRCI (Canadian bike, if that matters)

ABS?

Thanks

Not sure if your model has ABS or not.

But you can easily tell if it does.
Look down at the brake caliper on the left side.
If it has ABS, you will see the ABS Sensor wire.

Similar to this picture.

You can also check one of the on-line parts websites, which will show ABS components if they were available back then. I believe some Police models had ABS before it was available for civilian models.

I looked and didn't see a wire. I've skidded the rear wheel on the lawn (wet) when braking and never felt the rat-tat-tat of ABS, so I'm going to assume it doesn't have it.

I think the first civilian models with ABS were the 2008 touring models. ABS was an option on earlier (not sure what years) police models but the ABS took up space from one of the saddlebags.

It looks like ABS was an option on the 2005 Police models

Agree 2005. The left front rotor will look like this. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Harley-David...-/142059341691
