Default Will a '14 Sundowner fit a '13 SG?

I would like to buy a Sundowner from the classifieds but all I can find is one for 2014, I ride a 2013. I am in need, I have a tallboy seat and I'm 5' 7". I asked the dealer and the best answer I could get is "it should", any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

I was under the impression that seats from the rushmore models fit '09s and up. Pretty sure the demo hammock seat I borrowed from a dealer was a rushmore model, and it fit on my '11 (though it was a tight fit between speaker pods due to it's width). However, the Harley site does NOT indicate backwards fitment. the sundowner measurements actually appear narrower on the '14+ version compared to wider measurements on the 09-13.

I'd try going to a dealer and asking for a demo rushmore sundowner seat, and try it. easy 5 minute check, one way or another, in the parking lot.

FWIW, I demo'ed the Sundowner this weekend for a 400 mile day - MUCH better than the stock seat on mine!

Good luck.

Yes it will. 2009 and up touring seats should all interchange. A quick search of the seats part number should help you out too.

An often overlooked and little known tool is at your disposal on the Harley website. You can go to the shop for you bike tab and find out part numbers and look up at the bottom of the page to see what other years the part fits. I have used this feature MANY times when cross referencing new parts and looking up fitment for used parts online.

Here are several links for several 2014 Sundowner seats:

Good luck in your search Davii

I have a '12 sundowner and a '17 Streetglide seat that I use on my '09 Streetglide. The frames and tanks haven't changed since '09

Thanks for the help guys. Looking at the parts pages linked above I found it strange that it says the Sundowner stitched will fit, but the smooth won't. I thought the only difference between those two is the design of the cover.
