2012 Street Glide wobble at high speed
Took the bike out to test some new speakers, I never ride solo. But riding solo today I noticed a wobble when I hit a rut and in turns I had a slight drift back and forth with the rear end.
The wobble was similar to if you grabbed your handlebars and started moving them left and right quickly a few times, then it feels like even though the handle bars aren't moving the frame and the motor are still wobbling.
Just on the saddle last weekend with the wife for 400 miles and didnt notice this one bit. Kinda wondering if my rear shocks (ohlins not harley air type) are adjusted for me (265#'s) and my wife (125#'s) and were too stiff for solo ride.
I am hoping its not the neck bearing, but will perform the check out on that tomorrow. Any other ideas what to look at?
Tire pressure is where I like it, 39psi (max 42psi) on my dunlop american elites. I dont like this tire by the way, its stiff and I'm due for replacement in about 1,500 miles so I'll be trying another brand.
I'm going to make the wife hop on with me tomorrow and I'll copy the route I just ran, see if the problem doesn't return I'm gonna chaulk this up to shock adjustment.

Same issue on my 2012 Ultra years ago about 35mph. Tightened neck bearing, all good.
(thats not me or 'my' video btw)

Don't go adding extra stuff just yet! Check tyre pressures and condition, also fork fall-away. As for your shocks, good choice, however check sag, if necessary adjusting to suit when you carry your wife. Frankly I would expect that with a little experimenting you can find a set-up that is fine both solo and 2-up. I only adjust for Mrs B when we tour fully loaded with luggage.
