Default Let's talk mirrors and apes

On my new 17 CVO i went with Yaffe looking bars and they are a hair shorter than the 12" yaffe's I had on my 12. On the 12 SG, I had enough height to look under my arms at the faring mirrors. Unfortunately this time it will not work.
So I will be pulling the faring mounted mirrors and adding bar mounted ones.

I know this is a very subjective question due to preference but I am looking for ideas on what people went with. I want something low profile. I have looked on the net for hours and most are not installed on baggers so I cannot really get an idea of what they look like. Pics would be great if you have any.

Thanks in advance.

I have 12's with bar mounted mirrors, but I also use the fairing mirrors in conjunction with them. I have the bar mirrors set to see wide and the fairing mirrors are more useful in a narrow view since my arms block them from providing anything more than that.

Crappy pic, but Ness Mini Ovals. They are tiny but still functional.

I am looking at the Arlen Ness tear drop ones because of the points on my bars.

There was a post a few months ago in the Rushmore forum, with many pics of mirrors. Here is what i went with. 10" LA Chopper bars and Harley Tribal low profile mirrors.

I installed 12'' KST bars could see under my arms fairly well but after installing there drop down brackets what a difference can see a lot further back which makes them worth putting on better then having to install mirrors on your bars!

12" HD bars. Stock mirrors were worthless now.. What plugs do any of you use if you get rid of stock mirrors? and any suggestions for new mirrors?
