OEM parts are going to be salty, but chances are that some other company is also making a similar product. With HD stuff, there seems to be three grades of product. "Cheap", middle, and premium.

What are you looking for? There might be a vendor on the site that offers a discount.
I also think H-D parts are cheaper, and easy to find. Look at the price of parts from Honda, BMW or Ducati. The aftermarket is limited too. I can build a complete Harley from aftermarket parts.

I alway go to one of the online parts finders like http://partsfinder.onlinemicrofiche....%AE-(EFI)-(FC) and get the part number I need and then google it. You might be surprised at what you might learn along the way.

For most parts, my local dealer comes in within a few cents/dollars of online (less difference than shipping usually). For everything else its eBay or craigslist. I agree about the HUGE aftermarket with HD, seems everything but the VIN is available from somewhere at a reasonable price. Big change from metrics for sure, and a big reason I now ride Milwaukee Iron

I like Ronnie's HD. Free shipping with anything over a Benjamin. I believe they are a sponser right here so you should be able to find the link pretty easy.
