I get a kick out of every time i hear a dealer say there still within spec.my stock front rotors on my 08 ultra were still within harley specs(left one was just under 7 thousands and right one was just over 7 thousands, spec is 8 thousands) and they shook so much it drove me nuts.last winter i picked up set of E.B.C full floating rotors with a set of lyndall z-plus break pads. Now my ride is like a touring bike like it should be,not like a dirt bike.E.B.C rotors are far from top of the line rotors and i have yet to see how long they will hold up.But so far there great and they look good also.figure out your budget and do some shopping, there is alot of choices out there and some are very expensive. If the bike is still under warranty you might want to hold off messing with it.In fact you could make a few 70 mile an hour stop in a hurry stops and let them replace the rotor.Just a thought.

Unless something changed with the parts since i bought my 2009 I think you just have a bad part and I'd replace it with a stock HD part. I have 80k miles on my '09 and I just had the rear replaced for the first time and the fronts are still within spec, no issues at all.

I agree with 1340hog, nailing the front brake from high speed a few times may put the rotors over the edge. However it may glaze the pads and there may be increased noise or possibly poorer performance afterwards. Although if the pads have significant wear at this point then I would not give a rats ***
