96-13 Fairing Swap to 14-17 Street Glide
#11
There was a recent thread that a member put a '16 Road Glide fairing on a '12 Road King.

So I would say it's possible except the infotainment system. Just put a double din of your choice in it.

I did put the 2016 Road Glide fairing on my 2012 Road King. Pretty straight forward, had to lose the HD radio, but used Biketronics parts to mount a JVC radio that I do control remotely by using the old style handlebar controls. With a little fitting you can mount 2 of your 2013 gauges in the Fairing gas/volts/oil pressure/air temp. Not sure how you would mount the Speedo or Tach though.....

If you are doing the swap simply for a double DIN radio, there are aftermarket inners that fit the pre-14 outer fairings but have the layout of the 14+ inner fairings. This allows you to install a touch screen radio with the larger speakers. I was reading a thread here yesterday from a member that did just this.

@patsfan9090 how hard was that swap? I really want to put a 14+ fairing on my 2011. Every time the question is asked, someone says just to buy a new bike, but my 2011 is my late father's bike, so that's not an option.

comments like these didnt exist with the old timers or else nothing cool wouldve ever been done to motorcycles. The "specific" thing anyone wishes to accomplish is a custom bike unlike the one you would park next to. This is how EVERYTHING custom starts out in the motorcycle world
