Or...have them re-coated (ceramic or powder) for a refresh. Still sucky deal fm D&D, but I've had similar issues w/other products & manufacturers...need to relay issues well before their warranty coverage expiration, if known.

Yeah I think this will be a winter project, although I'm not sure if I'm gonna paint it or get them ceramic coated. For now I'm just gonna let them rot and warn others of the issue.

rust
So in march of 2016 I purchased a Fatcat exhaust from D&D in their black finish. After a few months I started noticing some weird marks on the pipe. At first I thought it was drops of oil from the breather bolts. But I kept getting more of them and they never went away. Then I started getting them in places where oil could never get to. A month or so later rust broke out from one of the spots. Upon closer inspection I realized all the spots were rust spots under the finish.
I called D&D and they essentially said too bad, pipes are only warranted for a year.
Is this common with the black finish, or am I just unlucky?
I have chrome and they did the same thing, and it is getting worst. Thinking about rapping them with black exhaust header tape.
