Default Passenger fried right angle!

Have a 2007 RK. Got caught in traffic jam in 90+ degree heat. My passenger complained about burning heat at the right ankle, both the inside and outside of the ankle. When we got back home I looked at her ankle and it was definitely red and hurting. I see there's pipes near the right floorboard, but not all that close to the ankle. Does anyone know where the heat is coming from and if anything can be done to cool the area down in this situation. Thanks.

I've read about the rjs's on this forum, and they appear to mount under the seat and would help the rider's thigh area, but you think they will help down near the passenger's ankle too? thanks.

Thanks SCPappy and Gman. That's good enough for me. I'll place my order later today. I assume that's them in the gman photo. To someone who is non mechanical, how difficult are they to install? Thanks again.

piece of cake to install. 5 min. you'll take more time reading the instructions versus how long it actually takes. couple ears tuch under the wiring harness under the seat, ears on the side covers, and some velro on the frame. Really easy, even a caveman could do it.

Document this incident, in the event there is a class action suit, due to the heat issues we mayforce the MOCO to fix the problem. Sorry about you S/O. This is a major problem with our 07's.

I just ordered the rjsoriginals. But I agree that this heat situation should have been addressed by the MOCO. I'm sure they knew of the extreme heat before they began selling the 07's. Only HD can get away with this stuff. GM, for example, would have been cruxified by the media and lost a ton sales if they didn't have a recall with a fix!
