Default Any trick to remove left grip?

Hello all,
I have a new set of handlebars on order and I started to get ready for their installation. I have managed to twist off the left grip a few times before on different occasions for various reasons. This time I guess the glue held up better than in the past. They are Kuryakyn Iso grips and I hate to buy a new set if I don't have to.
Anybody have any tips I sure would appreciate it.

Rubbing alcohol around the top will soften the glue enough to twist off the grip.

WD 40 or compressed air between the grip and the bar, it will loosen up.

I like to use compressed air with a fine point nozzle...

What year is your bike? If it's a newer model then I believe they don't glue on. The grips are held on by the horn/light cluster.

Thats how it is on my '16. No glue. The stock grip is held by the control cluster and a pin to stop it from rotating.

OK thanks for all the tips. Bike is a 2006 I don't think it's held by the switch cluster.
