Default 06' Ultra Classic exhaust and 07' Road King exhaust interchable?

My 06' Ultra Classic has a cracked exhaust behind the rear cylinder at the Y. It has a little over 60k on the clock, and the exhaust is stock. I pulled the exhaust last night to get it welded up, but found another stock one for an 07' Road King. They look real similar, but I haven't seen them side-by-side yet. Anyone know if they're the same?

In theory, they should be compatible.

When ordering aftermarket exhaust, you notice that there is the exact same part number for all touring bikes (RG, SG, UG), for a WIDE span of years (like '95-16 in some instances).

My next step if more info is needed would be to get the HD part# for each and find a bit more info on each. I will say that the twin cam had some changes from '06 to '07, but I am under the impression it did not impact the exhaust.

I know personally that the V/H pro pipe that fits my '08 RG also fits my buddy's '02 SG.

The part numbers are different. I believe the 07 would have an o2 sensor that the 06 would not have. That might be the only difference.

Thanks for the great info, guys. I appreciate it. I'll call the guy tomorrow and make the hour and change drive. I feel better about replacing it than having it welded up.

I have an '08 aftermarket system on my 1990 bike, with the O2 ports blanked out. Pipes up to '08 will retrofit to way back, so an 07 set will certainly fit your '06. Some models of '07 pipes had O2 ports, but not all IIRC.

I know this is an old thread, but I just want to thank you guys for the accurate information. I bought the exhaust system. The newer pipes did have O2 provisions, and plugs for them solved the problem.
Thanks again.
