Has anybody gone through the trouble of installing a HD fairing on a RK? What is the cost and trouble of doing it? I have seen the after markets and they look good but I like to know what a HD fairng would be also.

one from an early 80 might work because the head lite hole doesnt go all the way arond the head light, but it wont use the eglide gauges

 

A lot of work & $$$$ - Better off with a quick connect "Aftermarket"... Buddy just ordered one for his '07 RKC he wants his tunes.. Told him to buy a RG from the start (LOL)

 

if you only want a fairing w/o radio get one of the 80s from eBay. usually about $200. take 4 nuts off the windshield mount and put the fairing on. 10 minutes. this subject has come up many times. i'll take pictures of mine this afternoon and put up. i likely will not take mine off unless i trade for the 07 Road Glide i looked at yesterday. then i'll sell my fairing.
