I wish Harley would build a ultra RG or as you said a tour glide it would have beenalot cheaper to get to were I'm on my bike but you won't regret it

....i may just tour glide a road glide... and keep the standard as my hot rod scoot....
I think the Tour Glide rides much superior to the Road Glide. Less buffeting at high
speeds. Something about the redesign sacrificed the ridequality for me. I've
gone to the other side and now use an Ultraas my commuter mule.

My second HD and the best one I have had. You won't regret it at all, I'm having a blast! Leaving in 2 weeks for an 8 or 10 state ride over 2 weeks on it. Iowa, Minn, SD, Wyoming, Montana, Idaho(maybe), Colorado, Nebraska, Kansas(maybe), Missouri(maybe), and back home to IL.

If HD would start pushing the RG they would sell TONS more! Guy at work kept trying to find the right shield for his bike and had no luck. too much wind and noise. I told him he HAD to test drive a RG. After a year, he did. Bought one within a week!

I've been lookingfor a long distance touring replacement for my Roadster and the Road Glide is top of the list. Frame mounted fairings are definately the way to go and I kinda like the looks.

The big decision now is whether to go with a clean used unit ('02 to "05) or order a new "08. I've decided to stay away from the '07's because of the issues I've been reading about so will see what fixes (if any) are incorporated into the '08's.

Go fo a clean used one. Save $$$. One of my bros just picked up an 05 with 2,700 miles on it for $14,000.00 Awesome deal. Already had pipes and gear drive cams, too. Seems a bunch of people are jumping on the TC96, so grab a deal on the used bikes, lots out there!
