Anyone using Dunlop American Elite tires?

Switched to AE's and have ran a few sets over the years. Normal wear on my bike is 10-12K on the rear and 22-23K on the front. So two rears per front change. I will change out the rear if a big ride is coming up and I'm close to 9-10K just for the safety factor.
Very happy, handles well at high speed, rain and loaded up. The rear wears more than others I see post. Maybe because of my mods and I'm heavy on the throttle at times.
12,800 miles on these. A new rear is on it's way for my next trip to MT in a few weeks.

What model number are those pre-maturely worn out Dunlop AE's tire, I'm thinking they might me the soft compound version, that sounds logical compared to what others have posted on mileage difference. I'm just speculating here as it's the only answer I can presently come up with.
Second, last photo is the clearest of them all, photo's are worth a thousand words only if you can see the photo clearly. Do you have other photo's for comparison?
Appreciate your comments.

I posted the sidewall info in the prior post. I rolled the bike outside to try to get better pics.

I wonder if the cruiser "Fatboy" American Elite 200 55R17 tire is made differently than the American Elite Touring bike 180 65R16 tire? The different frames, riding style, geometry, suspension could certainly account for your differences. On the whole, most of the other the experiences posted are on touring bikes. It may be that the American Elite is a touring tire and not such a great choice for softtail fatboy Harleys.

01dyna - Yes your rear tire is well worn. Son of the hounds comments may have some value. I'm stumped!

No, not really...American Elites are pretty much bald and cupped after 8,000 miles....that's the story.
Heres a couple more pics:
American Elite tire after 8000 miles
Its still on my bike. I'm getting them replaced next week.
And again, I'd always had Dunlop stockers before and been very happy. Again, here is a pic of a Dunlop Stock tire I posted on this forum in 2015 with 10,000+ miles on it. A lot better tread and no cupping.
Dunlop stock with 10k+ miles
Really nothing more to the story than that. Pics speak for themselves...

Anyway, I ran an AE on my '14 FLHX for 16,000 miles and there was still 5 to 7000 miles left on it when I traded bikes.
I have never got that much out of a rear tire; ever.
Now, just as soon as I get a new bike and order chrome wheels; I order AE's for the wheels.
I won't run anything else..................

For everyone saying that they're only getting 8k on stock Dunlop rears, I got a total of 35,000 miles on two stock rears. Giving CII's a try, just because. But, Dunlops got excellent mileage. Sorry I didn't get a pic.
However, here's my stock Dunlop front at 27,000:

Let me recap when I知 stating Harley factory Dunlop tires, I知 speaking of the "2012 year only", as this is directed to my specific scoot.
Harley had problems with many Dunlop factory tires at that time. I am currently running these slightly imperfect tires and have outlined my experiences throughout this thread.
As I have run Dunlop tires on all my vehicles throughout the years, I知 currently looking for information/reviews on the new Dunlop American Elites to replace my present Dunlop痴 at 18,000 miles estimated by end of riding season.
I appreciate your insight & stories in related to tires mentioned, or if you have alternative tire suggestion, I'm all ears.

I replaced my stock 407 /408's with the AE's this spring. The rear 407 , was cupped with 15K could have went 18K but wanted to start the season with a new tire. The front was a little over half life but due to a slice in the tread that was deeper than it looked last year I replaced it also.
According to the Dunlop rep at J&P's open house once your close to the wear bars you have alot of miles as they wear slower at that point. They also told me the AE's are the same tire as the 407/408's other than Harley wants the tread pattern you see on the 407/408's. The AE's are Dunlops tread pattern , I can tell a difference , the AE doesn't track tar snakes and road cracks like the stockers did. After about 3K on the AE's I'd say there an improvement over the stock tires , I'm happy with them.
I only got 1800 miles out of my first front before a road hazard , nail I think , ruined it , not relevant but I'm still feeling the sting of buying 3 new tires this year.
