Stich, if your referrin to my product, RJS originals. I made so you can access the back rest latch. It says so right on my web site. For latch access. You just slide the left side back an inch during the initial mounting and there ya go.

I too put rjoriginals on mine. Works great. As a side note, they say you can't mount them on the left side if you have an adjustable riders backrest but I did anyway and find that it's easy to reach around the heat shield to adjust the backrest. Not a problem at all.

yep, I made sure that my design accommodated the access to the latch. Im only getting that question allot now, because HD's style doesnt work for riders that have that latch. I was asked about the latch access since day 1. Like it says on my site. Designed exclusively for the Harley Rider.
