A geat addition. Works very well.

The Wallys and the Hogtunes were the two best mods on my scoot. Oil gauge is 100% accurate and useful!!!

You'll be surprised how long it takes for the oil to get up to operating temp.

And on those hot 90F+ days, mine gets up to 275F. Normally ~225F.

Here is where I got mine: http://www.wallyscycleworld.com/virt...amp;PVSID=3013

While you are under the fairing, tighten up your trip odometer button (as seen above) from the inside - bound to loosen up and fall in someday!!!

Oh yeah, get some ear plugs too - Hogtunes will numb your hearing - even at 80 mph

Have never had a problem with the gauge sticking. When I turn on the ignitionthe needlemoves up to 110 (like in the pic) and stays there until the oil is hot enough to register, which is about 15-20 min into a ride, sometimes lesswhen the weather is hot. Like you said, it is an easy install, much easier than I had anticipated. Next week, I have the pleasure of installing the biketronics kit.

McEwen puts out a great product. Have dealt with him on the pnone. By far the very best in customer service... Costs less than the HD set-up.
ORIGINAL: Spartan

I went with the HD oil temp gauge. The plug connectorfor the sending unit is much more secure than the one on the Mcewenharness. Gauge works flawlessly.

Stewart Warner heavy duty oil temp gauge with sender/fitting which fits oil sump plug. Made in Mexico, just like HD, I think they are the same... $75 at local semi truck supply company
