Is it possible to turn off the Boom Audio Radio and use Nav with Audio?

I find I can turn off the volume, but it is still showing me the radio station and song titles on the display (or what is on my iphone).

I found that I can turn the Boom system off, and still use the nav, but not with sound.
I can turn the volume down, but it is still annoying.

Just picked up the '17 RG this past week, I can't find this in the manual.
Posting here because the audio section seems to be more about upgrades and third party.

 

No you can't. Turn the volume down on the radio and volume up on Nav. You'll never know the radio is on with the Nav screen up

 

go into the settings and de-select the audio info on your nav screen. i changed that line from audio info to next turn info.

 

Thank you. That got rid of the annoying media updates on the screen.
