Getting some time finally to do a inspection and was wondering if I have to pull the exhaust out or back enough to get the bottom cap head screws out, stock head pipes are in the bike now,I also noticed even with the floorboard off my floorboard bracket is welded to the frame only allowing about 1/4-3/8 of clearance to pull exhaust back

bracket should not be welded to frame-should have bolts (3)

I would think you would need to remove the exhaust to get the cam cover removed.

Default Cam chain cover

Your right after looking closer floor board is held on by 2 bolts and think I should be able to loosen exhaust to remove cover to inspect, then replace exhaust gaskets

You'll have to check the crankshaft run out, before going gear drive... but you'll never fret about tensioners again
Did you replace the front cam bearing at 100K?
