Default Is this trim piece plastic or metal?

I bought a bunch of parts as a package deal and this light assembly is plastic, including the chrome portion. I was surprised so Im wondering if its a steaming pile of cow dung part made in china or if the OEM part is actually plastic?

I was shocked when I bought my '06 and realized that they were plastic. My 98 had metal. But then again, those neat looking fender trims on the Road King Classics were plastic too.

Plastic! Harleys are metal, it's what separates them from goldwings! Really though, Are you gonna modify it somehow? You could always find a old metal one and if it's not to different in size modify then rechrome the puppy. I'm curious now hahaha

It bothers me that its a chintzy piece of plastic and I figured it wasn't OEM. I would've just ordered a new one if that was the case and carried on. I might look for an older one.

You could just remove it and remove a piece of the chrome from the back side. Then you'll know for sure.

The evos are metal. I wouldn't think the front fender changed that much, they still use a 16x3 tire correct? The rears are probably different as rear tires keep growing in girth so do their fenders.
