RE: DTT fuel mileage
I don't think it really matters from one tuning deviceto the next (PCIII, SERT, DTT, TMax, etc). What does matter from a performance and economy perspective is the tune.
I am getting 40~42 on the hwy, 2up with my econo build. At this point, I have not attempted to optimize for fuel mileage, but I know someon that has and he's getting 48 (DTT) on the hwy.
The REAL challenge is that when the bike runs better, you (at least I) am inclined to twist the trottle a littel more and the result is lower mpg....

RE: DTT fuel mileage
I gotta agree with PhilM, getting 30-40 two up, but its a pretty serious build. I can tune it for better mileage, but at the expense of some performance. I can lean it out a bit in the cruise range but then would ave to bring the advance back a bit when rollong on the throttle to prevent any pinging. Has nothing to do with the tuner, it is the build that mandates I do this. I am perfectly happy at 40 for the way this thing runs.
