My experience has been a good seat with a back rest and a set of good shocks. That has been the best comfort improvement for me. I didn't get the full benefit of my Mustang seat until I bought a set of HD premium shocks. I even installed 12" shocks I bought on eBay. Light years above the stock air shocks.

The next thing for me was new handle bars.

Yessir! You are correct! I liken it to trout fishin'...throw out some bait, and the very helpful trouts out here rise to the bait! Of course, me too...I didn't look at the OP's post count first!!!

Been a LOT of that going on out here lately, huh?

reminds me of a tenent that was always 3 days and 12 hours late every month on his rent. I knew what he was doing, puting a ton of energy in just to **** me off. Wish I had a bus full of tenents like that.

The best comfort addon was my Mustang backrest.
That thing is the most comfortable thing I've added.
Next would be the Alaska Leathers sheepskin seat cover.
Third would be the 10" mini-apes.
Fourth is the adjustable highway pegs
Last would be my Corbin solo, unfortunately the mustang backrest won't work on it!

Could also just be that time of year. The riding season is really getting underway and the OP might have actually bought his SG.

OP: it sounds like your biggest complaint is with buffeting. I had this same issue when I bought my first Street Glide. This is what "fixed" it for me:

https://longrideshields.com/collecti...nt=29850095945 In 8''. You'll have to measure and figure out what size you need. Currently on sale for $49.50

https://www.harley-davidson.com/stor...-20-5815608--1 $120

https://www.harley-davidson.com/stor...20-57400146--1 $90

http://www.kuryakyn.com/products/179...wind-deflector $35

Total: $294.50 plus tax and shipping.

I also found that it helps at highway speed to keep my feet on the floor boards rather than kicked up on my highway pegs. The wind would travel right up my leg, hit my chest, then go up and catch the lip of my helmet.

Good luck, you'll get it ironed out soon.

you want to be kool or comfy? Ditto on this
Back rest changes everything.
also fangs are a must for buffeting. I have a stock windshield now( and had others) but the fangs just about eradicated eyeball jaring buffeting for me. Longer shocks for a better ride, maybe, but i wont give the look of the SGS. jmo

Yeah, and unless this was moved, they actually posted this in the right sub!

That's what I find odd.
