Default Horn bracket broke...again

WTF? I've had 2 OEM horn brackets break in 5 years. First one lasted 3 years, my current on broke after 2 years. They both broke at the same place, per the attached. Today, I was on a rough road when it happened. Anyone else have this problem? Is anyone aware of any heavier duty aftermarket brackets. This is for the cowbell horn bracket on a TC.

Mine broke too. Same place. I think my Wards fans didn't help the issue. I purchased a drag specialties one. Seemed beefier in the picture but in the end it was the same as OEM.

Rubber isolator wasn't removed or is in poor condition?

I have the Wards fans. Maybe the create flex or something. And I recently replaced the rubber insulater.

Maybe I'll just get the OEM one again, and figure out how to beef it up.

Oh yeah...it was embarrassing today, as I had to CB the friend we were riding with that my bike was falling apart. It was worse the previous time, as I had a Goldwinger ride up along side me and ask was hanging off the side of my engine.

Find a welding / metal fab. shop, and have them build you a bracket out of some thicker steel, no more prob, because anything ugly will be hid by the cowbell.

my theory is all you need to do is give it a little extra torque on the next bracket.... now why my tranny dip stick keeps breaking off and falling into the tranny I have no clue. I just stopped replaceing.

have it welded and weld a gusset on it somewhere while you're at it.
