Default HD Air Cleaner... Keep it or Replace it?

Bought the bike and this sucker was on... are they junk and should I just go aftermarket? (thinking DK)

Or clean it up a buy a different cover for it (if available)?

Dont over think it. Clean the filter (if not K&N, get one), find a cover or an insert and ride it.

I would just replace it with a k&n and call it a day.

They aren't junk. They flow just fine. If the filter is needing replacement, I agree with going with the K&N filter, about $60 from your dealer. Slap a cover on it, and you'll be good. I like the round vintage looking thing, but I have a stock black football on mine now.

I love the round AC w/ or w/o a cover, but you gotta cover that throttle body...

It's a stage 2 filter (no taper) clean or replace the filter (if needed) and get a different center cover.

Kuryakyn makes a chrome and black version of the Alley Cat that will fit that
