Help me with this RG windshield (?)

Checking this on CL I notice what looks like a secondary windshield shield? Or is it an optical illusion?

It's a madstad windshield. Ugliest accessory ever made. Guys swear they are the best thing ever. I'll never know, couldn't bear to put that thing on my bike if you paid me.

Yep, you're right, it is butt ugly. Got a good look from the website dyna provided. Sure wouldn't put one on my Road Glide.

Correct. I tried several windshields on my 2012 RG, trying to find a better looking, but still effective, solution than the ugly Madstads everyone swore by. I finally broke down and bought one, now you couldn't pay me to take it off. I haven't heard if they are as needed on the Rushmore RG fairings.
