Default Does your Fast Aire Windscreen SQUEAL?

I put mine on last night, an 07 SG, and that think squeals louder than Ned Beatty in Deliverence up until about 30MPH. Anyone else experience this and/or know how to fix it?

I had a similar problem with my stock shield. It would squeal at low speeds because the fairing was rubbing on the shield due to the screws loosening. I tightened the screws being careful not to overtighten and strip the inner bolts but they would still loosen. I tried locktite and that would help temporarily.

I finally took an old bicycle inner tube and cut a strip of rubber putting it between the outer fairing and the windshield. This allowed for a tighter grip between the fairing and the windshiel and thus, squeal's gone.

I put a piece of "good" electrical tape on each side of mine just to cushion it.

I was thinking so some form of thin weatherstripping, but I also want to put the windshield bag on, so I'm hoping that tightens things up a bit.

I have the 8" Fastaire Aero on my 07 SG and no squeal. Make sure that it is seated down on all 3 of the screws and re-tighten. Call Jim at Fastaire for advice. Nice guy and he rides a SG too.
