I've had 3 different shields on (all with some sort of windshield bag) and never has a sound come out of mine. Never heard of that. Try a windshield bag or the electical tape thing.

 

Cant say I know the exact cause of the " High Pitched Squeal" ... most likely cause is the windshield is incorrectly seated and one of the mounting holes is catching air. Loosen the screws & reset the windshield by gently tapping on the top to seat it.

And ... since you compared my windshield to Ned Beatty... well,as a native of Georgia, Your windshield warranty is NOW NULL & VOID .... take that tough guy !!!

I've had 4 different windshields on my FLHX and theFast Aireishands downthe best looking and performing one. No noise problems whatsoever. Try reseating the windshield and tweaking the screws a bit.
