Default Did a search but I still have a question about which clutch.

I've got an 09 Ultra classic with the stock clutch in it. Recently I added cams to it with a Rush header and cfr slip ons. To top it off I've got a stage 2 intake and a cobra fi2000 tuner. Now my clutch is slipping in 4th-6th gears under heavy throttle. If it starts to slip i can let off the throttle a bit and it "catches up" and locks in. I adjusted the clutch cable and pulled the cover and adjusted the clutch but it's still slipping. So I think it's time to replace the clutch. The bike has 31k miles on the stock clutch BTW.
I'm looking through catalogs and web sites but I don't know which clutch pack is right for my application. Kevlar, performance, stock? I'd appreciate some advice guys and gals. I think I gave enough info, what does everyone think would get me running again.

OK. I looked that kit up and the price is right. Now more questions. I read the reviews but why but this kit over others? Not being a smart ***, just asking your opinion.
Also should I replace any other parts while I'm in there? Pressure plate or anything? My hd manual doesn't say if there's other parts that should be replaced with it.

if you dont mind a little harder lever pull, just put a heavier spring in it

That's the simplest solution, the stock clutch is fine, just needs a little extra back-up! There are alternative centrifugal clutches, which use a lighter spring, but use bob-weights to increase pressure at speed, such as AIM VPC.

SE spring is the answer, here. About $30.

EXACTLY!

Install HD's hvy dty clutch spring and you should be fine with only 30k on stock clutch pack.

Thats as long as clutch hasn't been slipping long enough to overheat clutch plates & metal spacer plates either warping or glazing them (or both!) in which case they would require replacement too.

You wont know what cond clutch pack is in till you disassemble it to chk for wear, warpage & or glazing from overheating from slipping.

But a stock clutch pack in good cond (or new!) with new hvy dty HD clutch spring that has approx 20-25% additional clamping/holding force should hold the mods you have just fine.

Try the SE spring, and a proper adjustment. IMHO, it doesn't sound like you adjusted it properly.

If the above doesn't fix it, replace the clutch pack. I'm happy with the SE Pack.
