I put a filter on the end of a breather tube on an M8. I pulled it off every 500-1000 miles to see what was in it since I was using 2 quarts every 5,000 miles. There was nearly nothing in that filter. Who knows where that oil was going. Plugs didn’t suggest anything, neither did the exhaust.

I’d just vent to atmosphere if I do it again.
