Bought tour pack. Now detachable mount
Hello all. Been using the forum for awhile and never joined till now. I searched for a answer before posting and could not find one.
Over the week end I purchased a King tour pack that supposedly came off of a 08 streetglide. It has a detachable mount already on it. When I went to pick it up I noticed right away it was not going to work with the detachable mounts on my 06 streetglide. My question to you guys is...Would it be cheaper/easier to buy a new two up mount and put it on the tour pack? If so has anyone had experience with the ones on eBay for $50? Or is it easier to replace the mounts on my bike with the ones to match the tour pack?
One pick is the mounts on my bike and the other is the tour pack. Thanks in advance for the advice.

Regarding the eBay mounts, if you're referencing the ones from Cavalry Fiberglass, I bought the detachable tourpack mount for my '06 FLHX, and it worked very well. So well that I ordered another for my current '11, and it should be arriving today or tomorrow. Much less expensive than the OEM part.
As to the other question, I'm a bit confused as to what you're asking...off the cuff, I'd say just buy the mount to fit your bike, not certain there's any other way to do it. Maybe I'm just stoopid!
