I hope they are right, the 95" rumor had been floating around every year for about the last 3 years, I would almost bet money that most bikes get the 6 speed by 07. Keep your fingers crossed.
But, but, but...I already have my bike sold at the end of Jan or beginning of Feb! I can't wait to get another bike until the 07's come out! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! [:@]
How much of a difference will the 95 cu and the 6th speed tranny make?
I was at the dealer the other and they said 95 cu. and a six speed for all 07' touring models!! What has anyone else heard?
I have heard various rumors (GPS standard on baggers, V-Rod touring bike, V-Rod engine in a Buell model etc.) over the past few years from different dealers and none of them turned out to be true. Then, I heard about a six-speed tranny coming out this year from an employee at the factory and followed it up by asking about it at those same dealers and they said there wasn't gonna be a six-speed. Bottom line, Harley keeps secrets better than our military...we'll just have to wait and see.

I am told by a Harley mechanic friend that the 95 incher will add 8 to 12 horsepower depending on the intake and exhaust mods that you make with it. The six-speed has helical cut gears to help eliminate that famous "clunk" when you shift and it will reduce rpm's at highway speeds just a bit which should increase fuel mileage. The bad news is that there is a bearing issue with the current crop of six-speeds that are used in the Dyna's, and to be honest, I wouldn't even want that tranny if Harley doesn't get that defect resolved.
THE RUMOR HAS BEEN GOING FOR AT LEAST 3 YEARS ......I WOULDN'T COUNT ON ANYTHING THE DEALERS ONLY FIND OUT A MONTH BEFORE WE DO ON ANYTHING ANYWAY, SO THEY HAVE KNOW CLUE ON WHAT MAY HAPPEN
