Looking for a new fuel door for my 2007 SG. Finding a lot of them I like but they're for 2008 and up. Does anyone know the difference in the two model years? They look identical to me.

 

In 08 the 6 gallon tank came out and the fuel door changed. The 07 and under door is flatter than the 08 and up.

 

Thanks for the scoop. Any way to "rig" it so an 08 door would fit without destroying it?

 

no. it's also a different diameter.

The stock one is #61278-92 DOOR CONSOLE, so any door from model year 1993 should fit. Are you looking for a stock one or custom?

 

I have a performance Machine chrome fluted fuel door that fits a2007 that I'll sell for 50 bucks if your interested.
