Default Air temp gage

My 07 ultra classic air temp gage always shows many degrees too high. I don't expect that it should be exact but 20 degrees, come on. Anyone else have that problem? Maybe mine is bad.

That is a common issue and has be a major topic here many times. When it is hot it will be off. when it gets below 65 out then it is close. It is something that you will have to deal with or replace it with an oil guage.

You can move the sensor from inside the fairing to the outside up near the fork tops or replace it with an oil temp gauge, or don't bother with it at all

does a good job of reading the internal temperature of the fairing. Once that fairing has been sitting out in the sun, well you can see what hapens.

As suggested, move the sensor outside the fairing. It works quite well. If you want to know the oil temp get the temp/dipstick.
Easier and cheaper.
Or, do neither.

Mine is bad also, swaping for an Oil temp guage sounds good to me. Not to hijack the thread but how tough is the install?
