I'm thinking of getting the 14" Gangster Apes, however, I am concerned on the width. Currently running Monkey bars that are about 11" tall.
Honestly, the width is wider than stock and that took longer to get used to compared to the height. But once I did, I feel weird on any other bike with standard width bars. I really like the width. Going slow and pulling into parking spaces takes getting used to, but that is it. Long distance does not bother me at all either.
I have 14" high 1.5" dia Gansters on my bike. Love them. I had them in line with the forks and I had to reach too far forward when turning the bars.
Also, at first the width was odd. But once I got used to that, if I look at a stock bikes width, they look and feel so close together.... Lot of people hate the width, but I really like it now. I feel more in co
ntrol.
I’ve had 3 sets on them, on 2 deluxes and a toad king and I won’t own any other Apes besides Carlini’s. There QC is top notch as well as all they’re accessories.
Ride comfort is great as well, very easy on the wrist too
